‘Hello Sisters’…….Sisters!!!! Aghhhh, I just cannot get enough of the Hocus Pocus movie during Halloween and that inspired me to make this ‘Witches Blood Brew Cocktail’. The cocktail has a sweet-tart-salty taste, extremely addictive and easy to make! This version has alcohol but you can make it without one too. Every Halloween, I come up with a new recipe and this year, I sooooo wanted to do a drink. Something spooky, spectacular and easy. And I wanted to do a ‘vodka’ based drink as that’s what most of my friends/family love in a cocktail. So here comes our recipe 🙂

Ingredients for The Witches Blood Brew Cocktail:

Tart Cherry Juice Orange Juice Lime Juice Fresh Ginger Sparkling Water or Soda Red Gel Color + Corn Syrup – for blood-stained rims Black sugar + Himalayan Salt Dry Ice – optional

This recipe is perfect for a big party as it’s so easily doubled/tripled and you can make them for kids without any vodka.   Also, most of the ingredients used can be easily found in everyone’s home! So, you have to try this easy peasy drink – just needs to be mixed, poured and served. I’m using a ‘Red Gel + Corn Syrup’ to get that sticky-dark and textured blood look, however, you can use any red color with simple syrup too.

How to Make Witches Blood Brew Cocktail:

First thing first, let’s begin the party by rimming the glasses with blood syrup. Once all the glasses are rimmed, I keep them in the fridge to set. This helps the stains last longer.

Now let’s make the cocktail:

That’s it, our Witches Blood Brew Cocktail is ready to serve, sip and enjoy this Halloween. Extra Tips to Make & Serve this Halloween Witch Cocktail: Tart Cherry Juice – you can use pomegranate juice or even cranberry juice too Sparkling Water – I like using 0 calorie sparkling water, but you can add any plain/lemon/lime flavored soda too. Handling Dry Ice – always be extra cautious when using dry ice as it can easily burn your fingers on contact or any body part if touched.

can skip this dry ice step completely, it’s just for effects. If using dry ice, always use a spoon/tongs to handle it. NEVER touch dry ice with bare hands & KEEP AWAY from children. Always wait till ALL Dry Ice effect is over and Ice has melted to drink the cocktail

Take a serving glass and place it ‘Rim Side Down’ in this bowl. Cover the rim with the blood syrup and sprinkle some black sugar mix. Rim all the serving glasses and keep aside in the fridge (this helps firm up the blood syrup on the glasses).
