So it begins – my rotimatic recipe series. I am glad to start with my favorite masala roti with quinoa flour. I began to make rotis and pooris regularly now with my Rotimatic. So far, I have tried regular roti, spinach roti, and poori, but all with wheat flour.

Does Rotimatic Adapt to New Flour and New Measures?

The masala roti recipe with quinoa flour was on my list for a long time. I wanted to try this in Rotimatic and see how the machine adapts to new powder. Guess what, without any issues, the device changed to the flour combinations along with spices and started making perfect masala rotis. I was so surprised and elated to see the rotis coming out. I used 1:1 ratio of wheat flour to quinoa flour. Now coming to the recipe, there is no set measure or set spices to add in this masala roti. You can add and adjust the spices as per your preference. I went with garam masala, coriander powder, red chili powder, crushed fenugreek leaves and turmeric powder. I included salt in the flour instead of adding to the water container. But you can add it to your water container also.

All you have to do is the mix the flours and spices and add it to the flour container. Also, make sure your water and oil containers are full. That’s it. Rotimatic takes care of the rest. It is as simple as that. That’s what Rotimatic Life is all about. You don’t need to rely on frozen rotis, and you don’t need to worry about kneading and rolling, and you don’t need to worry if there are sufficient rotis for your family. Rotimatic takes care of everything as long as you have the flour. And you know what goes into your roti exactly. You can even prepare the flour mix during the weekend and keep it ready.

Before getting into the recipe, let me share you the coupon and link from where you can order your rotimatic.  Order Rotimatic with coupon code “ROTIMATIC50”   FLOUR MIX:

ROTIMATIC SETTING:

Recipe: Roti Flour: Aashirvaad Select Thickness: 1 Roast: 1 Oil: 1

Steps:

In a wide bowl, add all the ingredients.

Mix it thoroughly.

Transfer it to the flour container of rotimatic.

Now start the rotimatic and select the roti option and the flour. I used Aashirvaad Select.

Select your thickness, roast level, and oil. I kept everything to the minimum. You can see the setting level above. Select the count and let the rotimatic do its magic.

I did apply some ghee on top of the roti, but that’s entirely optional. I served this with mixed vegetable kuruma. It was indeed a wholesome meal.

Notes:

As I mentioned before, adjust the spice mix as per your preference. Instead of quinoa flour, you can include any other millet flour, or you can make this masala roti only with whole wheat flour.
