My theme for this week’s Blogging marathon is ‘Milk based desserts’. I rarely make milk based dishes at home because my husband does not like them. So I avoid making them just for myself. But this theme tempted me to try some delicious dessert recipes. First up is this extremely easy to make payasam recipe. My mom makes it often but she uses regular rawa aka sooji or fine semolina. I used fine wheat rawa aka godhuma rawa instead to make it a little healthy. My mom’s original recipe cooks in no time but fine wheat rawa doesn’t take much time either. Also since there is only about couple of tablespoons of rawa in this payasam, it really takes just a few minutes to cook through. The good thing about this payasam is it is not only great to serve as dessert but the leftover thickens nicely and is perfect to serve with fresh fruit for breakfast. See I have to think of various ways to eat these milk based desserts since I am the only eating these at home. I am not complaining at all – I’m happy to eat it all.

Lets check out what my fellow marathoners have cooked today for BM# 72.
