Deseeded dates – 10 to 12 Tamarind paste – 2 tbsp (If you are using tamarind, take gooseberry sized tamarind) Black salt – ¼ tsp Red chilly powder – ¼ tsp Cumin powder – ½ tsp
Steps: If using tamarind,
Soak the dates and tamarind for minimum 30 minutes Cook them for up 15-20 minutes by adding 1 cup of water. Let it cool and grind them with the other dry ingredients.
If using tamarind paste,
Soak the dates for 30 minutes
Cook them for up to 15-20 minutes by adding ½ cup of water.
Let it cook and grind along with tamarind paste and other dry ingredients.
