Colorful Rotis

Roti or Indian flatbread is traditionally served with dal and curries. But it is a very versatile flatbread, and you can substitute roti for tortillas and create zillion other recipes. You can make quesadillas, tacos, burritos, roti rolls/wraps, frankie with rotis. The kiddo loves the colors on his plate, and that’s when I thought of preparing these colorful rotis with Rotimatic. Now instead of plain roti, you can create colorful and flavored rotis with Rotimatic. You can check out my kid’s friendly lunch box recipes here and replace the flour tortillas with any of the below roti variety. Try beets roti for the Jalapeno cheese quesadilla, and I bet you will love the combo. Now stay tuned for some yummy tacos, chalupas, kathi rolls and enchiladas that you can prepare with these rotis.

Back To School Food Preparation

Rotimatic makes life super simple, and I further want to make it simpler. You can prepare these flour-mixes over the weekend and store them in an air-tight container. And during the busy weekday mornings, just add your favorite flour mix to the flour container and let rotimatic do its magic. Now you can pack the rotis as is with dal or curry or use it for any fusion recipe.

Flour-Mix Measure | Storage | Serving Quantity

All these flour mixes are little over 2 cups, and this measure will yield five to six rotis, and as always rotimatic will warn when the flour is less. But you can double the quantity or make the flour-mix according to your requirements. There is no set measure for these flour mixes. I would recommend playing with small measure and when you hit the perfect balance, make it in bulk. I stored all the flour mixes in an air-tight container and labeled them. You also have the option of buying additional flour-containers from Rotimatic and save the flour mix directly on the flour container.

Cleaning while using different flour mixes

I have two flour containers, and I use them alternatively. But if you are not able to clean the flour container let’s say after using spinach flour mix or beets flour mix, do not worry about it. You can dust and wipe it with a paper towel and add another flour mix. But make sure you can plan the cleaning for later, but you need to clean the kneading area for sure before using the other flour mix. Remember, cleaning the kneading parts is like your daily skincare routine.

Colorful Rotis for the Entire Week

Now here are the five different flour-mixes that we enjoyed. I have flour-mix recipes using quinoa flour, pearl millet flour as well.  You can combine your favorite gluten-free flour and make chapati. Please do try and let me know your favorite and also I share your flour-mix ideas on the comments. Before getting into the recipe details, let me share the Rotimatic coupon and link from where you can order the rotimatic.
