Yes, you heard it right – curry leaves. Err I didn’t have mint at home, so I went with cilantro and coriander. And guess what, it tasted great. :-) So here is my simple green chutney recipe. You may wonder why I am posting sweet chutney and green chutney without any other main recipe. The main recipe is coming next. It is a great sodappal story, and it happened on Vinayaka Chaturthi. Oh yeah, no stress right. :-) But luckily I was able to do a fixer-upper for my sodappal dish. For that I need this sweet and green chutney and so here is what I did.

Chutney Recipe

Ingredients:

Cilantro – 1 bunch cleaned Curry leaves – 2 strands Green chilly – 2 (Hubby got this purple chilly from local farm, you can use the regular ones) Small piece of ginger Salt – ¼ tsp Cumin powder – 1 tsp  Water – ½ cup

Steps:

Wash the cilantro and curry leaves. Just blend them together by adding ½ cup of water.

That’s it. Yummy green chutney is ready. You can find the dates and tamarind chutney here. :-) Adjust the water according to your consistency.
