If you’ve ever been to a spa, you know they always have the best infused waters. Hotels and hair salons also often offer spa water. This water just screams a day at the spa, doesn’t it? Or a poolside play date? Cantaloupe and cucumber water is perfect for most anything and it really couldn’t be any easier to make.
Why you’ll love spa water
Refreshing: Infused water is the ultimate refresher. It’s flavorful, cold, and full of any flavor you want – in this case, cantaloupe and cucumber. Good for you: If you’re craving soda, try opting for spa water instead. Infused water has a lot of flavor but with very few calories. Beautiful: Infused water looks absolutely beautiful in a pitcher! I almost always put some out when I have people over.
What you Need
All you need is water (obviously), cantaloupe, and cucumbers. It’s ready to drink immediately after making but the flavors intensify over time.
Make it Your Own
Infused spa water is super easy to make your own. Basically just add whatever you want, but here are some flavor combo ideas:
Lime + Mint: Reminiscent of a mojito, this is a super fun and flavorful combination. Citrus Love: Any combination of grapefruit, orange, lime, and lemon. The citrus slices look beautiful in the water. Berry: Any combination of blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries. They don’t infuse the water with as much flavor as some other things, so you might consider adding a couple slices of lemon or a few sprigs of mint.
Storage
The shelf life of infused water will depend on what you put in it, and it will keep longer if you store it in the fridge. If the fruit looks like it’s breaking down or it starts looking cloudy, it’s a good sign it’s time to toss it. it should last 2-3 days.
