Large Orange Pink Himalayan Salt – can use regular salt or rock salt too Black Pepper Powder Honey – can skip if the oranges are too sweet or can use maple syrup
Make the Citrus Dressing:
Simply combine all the ‘dressing ingredients’ in a bowl and whisk. Keep aside for later use.
Make the Winter Fruit Salad:
Start by taking a large – clean bowl. Add chopped apples, pears, grapes, oranges. Then add the cheese, mixed nuts, mint, and more pomegranate. Add the citrus dressing and mix everything using a spoon or fork. Serve fresh
Serving the Salad & Substitutes:
This salad pairs great with a Christmas meal or any meal for that matter. Works great with pizza, burgers, and sandwiches. It can be eaten as light lunch or snack too. Can be packed for picnics or office lunch too, simply pack the dressing separately. Pour the dressing when ready to eat.
Substitutes:
I’m using a mix of fresh winter fruits but you can use canned or frozen fruits too. You can add chopped bananas, mangoes, pineapples, cherries or any other available fruits too. You can skip the nuts but a little crunch adds a lot of taste and flavors to the salad. You can add any toasted seeds like pumpkin/pecans / cashews/raisins, etc.
